UIS Best Practices for Turnitin
- Instructors
can have students upload the files or can upload student files themselves. This means instructors can use for individual suspected cases of plagerism or as a plagerism deterent for the entire class.
- Instructors can use Turnitin as a learning tool. Even papers in which you don't suspect plagerism may surpise you.
- Groups can use Turnitin to check their peers' work for originality.
- Side-by-side comparisons let an instructor view the submitted text alongside other matching sources. This can be used for verifying revisions in submitted papers, as well as a visual plagerism detection tool.
